OUR educational project
The education provided in the school helps to develop the full potential of each child (physical, cognitive and intellectual, social and emotional) and achieve the skills of the common base knowledge, skills and culture.
Children from 2 ½ years to 6 years are all grouped in the same environment. The teaching is delivered individually or in small groups. This one-to-one contact guarantees a quality of contact, high attention and respect for the pace of development and individual learning of each child.
The educational program takes into account the sensitive periods of each child in which the child learns effortlessly. Children are built by freely chosen activity: free choice in a known and risk-free environment, in a range of activities already presented by the teacher and corresponding to the level of development of the child. The chosen activity includes manipulation, concentration and repetition.
Montessori teaching aims to lead children to autonomy (“Help me to do it alone”) in discipline, to develop confidence and self-esteem, the positive relationship to learning.

A large part is therefore given to lessons and autonomous activities (2h30 to 3h per half day approximately). This independent work is very structuring for the child. Indeed, his involvement will be greater and his interest more lively in an activity that he will have chosen rather than in an activity that would be imposed on him.
Mastery of the activity will lead creativity, self-satisfaction and self-confidence to go beyond what is offered. At this age, the child is a real researcher in search of a maximum of experiences. The child will seek to reach this same state of satisfaction and will thus become self-motivated, self-disciplined. Mr. Montessori says “normalized”.
Thus each child becomes autonomous and responsible, doing his own work while respecting the work of others and his environment. The hive is then at its maximum “productivity”.
The teaching is based on observing nature and understanding simple phenomena to bring children to understand the diversity and balance of their environment, their own connection to the world around them. This priority area of work helps to anchor children and later adolescents and adults in their environment, to help them become active citizens of the world.
The school Les Enfants de la Ruche will carry out special work on the expression of emotions and the development of creativity through visual arts and music projects.
